OPEN DOORS TO HEALING

To open a door, usually keys are necessary. Often, two, three, or more keys are required to access the other side.

In this book, we will look at some of the keys required to gain access to God’s healing Power. Jesus treated sickness as the whole picture – speaking about wholeness.

There are different doors to our health – spirit, mind, soul and body. When these doors are open, wholeness and health come.

Following are 8 keys which will open the door to your healing . Once this miraculous door is open, sickness, pain and burdens will be left behind on the other side.

I pray this message will bless you. To best use it, each biblical text should be studied. Each prayer point, if it applies to you, should be personalized and prayed frequently until you have received your healing from the Lord !

May the Love of God strengthen you now as you read these words. In the Name of Jesus !

KEY 1 WITH ALL WITHIN ME I WILL SEEK FORGIVENESS

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name. Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103 : 1,3

The Lord’s prayer is a great example of how to seek forgiveness : forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. In other words, we will receive forgiveness from God according to how we forgive others.

Once we understand forgiveness is a two – way street, we can begin to access the secret of this Psalm : forgiveness and healing work together ! To access our healing, forgiveness is one of the first doors that needs to be opened.

I realized something essential : If I want to be healed, I need to work on forgiveness – in my relationship with God, and with others. Often, there are strong emotions that keep us bound to unforgiveness. That is why the Psalmist said, with all that is within me . . Frequently, a lot of effort is needed to truly forgive those who have really hurt us. Likewise, we are often prisoners to deceptions that hide the fact that we are in sin, and we need to repent, and ask the Lord for forgiveness.

PRAYER POINT 1 :

Lord Jesus ! With all that is within me I will seek forgiveness. Forgive me of my sins, I pray. Help me to forgive those who have sinned against me. Likewise, forgive me if I have sinned against others. In Jesus Name I pray.

KEY 2 WITH ALL WITHIN ME, I WILL SEEK MY HEALING

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name. Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103 : 1,3

After seeking forgiveness, the second step is healing. I love God’s promise : I am the Lord that healeth thee Exodus 15 : 26

What He is saying, is: I am Doctor Jesus. His promise is eternal. I have learned – if I am sick – whether emotionally, or physically - before seeking medical help, taking medication, or even before telling anyone else – I seek Doctor Jesus, and ask Him to heal me. By putting Him first, usually He heals me.

In addition to the spiritual battle, we must fight sickness in the physical realm by eating a healthy diet. Sickness often is a warning flag which causes us to make and maintain the dietary changes necessary to contribute to our healing.

If the condition persists , it is now necessary to seek a doctor, or counsel. At this stage, I seek His direction, understanding that His blessing is upon Medical Doctors and Professionals, because He gave them the knowledge and wisdom. He will use them to heal me.

PRAYER POINT 2 :

Lord Jesus ! Have mercy upon me, I pray. You are my Doctor. I come to you now. With all that is within me, I ask you to heal me . In Jesus Name I pray.

KEY 3 DILIGENTLY ROOT OUT UNPLEASANT EMOTIONS

Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled Hebrews 12 : 15

It is by God’s grace that He heals us. Often when we fail to get healed, we need to look diligently to find what is hidden under the surface. Bitterness, anger, frustration, sadness, – whatever unpleasant emotions we have - sometimes are hidden like a root in our souls, causing us emotional sickness. We need to look diligently, and root them out, before they grow into even greater sicknesses.

PRAYER POINT 3 :

Lord Jesus ! May the Holy Spirit reveal to me any contrary emotions that have taken root in my soul. By force, I uproot them now, and forbid them from ever growing again in my life. In Jesus Name I pray.

KEY 4 BLESS THOSE WHO CAUSE US THE MOST PAIN

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12 : 17 – 21

Often those who hurt us cause the most unpleasant emotions to take root in our souls. We need to guard against allowing these feelings to take root. Only by the weapon of prayer can we overcome, and force these feelings out of our souls. Our greatest weakness can become our greatest strength - when we learn to bless our enemies.

If someone has been unfaithful to me, I pray God to send them a faithful partner. If someone has hurt me, I pray God to send someone that would love and heal them. If someone has taken advantage of me financially , I pray for God to prosper them. In whatever way we suffer evil, we should overcome it with good.

PRAYER POINT 4 :

Lord Jesus ! I will not be overcome of evil. I will overcome evil with good. Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. I pray you would bless my enemy in this way . . . In Jesus Name I pray.

KEY 5 RECEIVE PEACE FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After he said this, he showed them his hands and side.

The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.” Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.

So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them.

Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” John 20 : 19 -21, 24 – 26

Fear and Unbelief are often two major factors that block the operation of God’s Peace in our lives. In this text, Jesus enters the room despite locked doors. Likewise, the Holy Spirit is able to penetrate areas of our hearts which have been closed, and release us to receive peace.

PRAYER POINT 5

Lord Jesus ! I now shut every door of fear and unbelief in my life. I invite the sweet Holy Spirit to come now, and blow peace into my life. May Peace be with me now ! In Jesus Name I pray.

KEY 6 KEEP UNINVITED STRANGERS OUT OF YOUR HOUSE

As soon as they hear, they obey me; strangers submit to me, and fade away, and come trembling out of their hidden places. Psalm 18 : 44 , 45

Our bodies are called the temple of the Holy Spirit. You would not allow a stranger into your house if you knew he would harm you, would you ?

We need to realize it is the same with our bodies and souls – sometimes we allow strangers to come in. These strangers come in many forms - attitudes, thoughts, words, conversations, dreams, things we see and hear and many other ways. They hide themselves within us, and we need to forcibly remove them before they harm us.

PRAYER POINT 6 :

Lord Jesus ! Every stranger residing in my mind, in my body, in my soul – I order you out now, and forbid you from ever entering again. Precious Holy Spirit – I ask you to reveal them to me, and where they are residing within me – I will drive them out. In Jesus Name I pray.

KEY 7 THROW AWAY CRUTCHES AND WALK PROPERLY

But the Lord said to him, “Peace! Do not be afraid. You are not going to die.” So Gideon built an altar to the Lord there and called it The Lord Is Peace. . . That same night the Lord said to him, . . “Tear down your father’s altar to Baal . . Then build a proper kind of altar to the Lord your God on the top of this height. . . ” In the morning when the people of the town got up, there was Baal’s altar, demolished, . . and the newly built altar!

Judges 6 : 23 – 28

In this passage, Gideon was ordered to tear down the altars of his father. I call them crutches . . . In our families, in our cultures, we are introduced to many things that are supposed to help us in the walk of life. But there is a tendency for them to become a crutch when they are used in excess. We need to realize that after a while we need to throw away the crutches if we are going to walk properly.

Drugs, Alcohol, Unhealthy Diet, Electronics, the media, and many other things are crutches that we need to throw away to be able to walk properly in our Christian walks .

PRAYER POINT 7 :

Lord Jesus ! I will now rise up and walk, In the name of Jesus. I forcibly throw away everything that has become a crutch in my life. Help me to use self – control and walk as a vessel of honor. In all my ways, I acknowledge you, and ask you now to direct my paths. In Jesus Name I pray.

KEY 8 BUILD AN ALTAR OF PEACE

But the Lord said to him, “Peace! Do not be afraid. You are not going to die.” So Gideon built an altar to the Lord there and called it The Lord Is Peace Judges 6 : 23 , 24

I love this scripture, because it marks the turning point for Gideon, and the children of Israel. For many years they were oppressed, impoverished and destroyed by their enemies, the Midianites.

When Gideon built this altar to the Lord is when things began to change for the better for him and his people, and eventually they conquered the Midianites, and had victory.

I have learned that if I wait to win my battles before I have peace, I will never have it !

We need to purpose in our minds to build an altar of peace unto the Lord – from there, unfailingly, a strategy will come forth to obtain victory in whatever area we need it.

PRAYER POINT 8 :

Lord Jesus ! I now come before you. I worship and bow down before you. You are Jehovah Shalom, The Lord is Peace. I build an altar of Peace unto you. I present my life as an altar to you. I receive your peace now, to conquer every battle in my life. In Jesus Mighty Name I pray.

Has this message blessed you ? If it has, would you join me in saying this prayer ?

Lord Jesus !

Surely you bore my sickness and diseases and carried my pains. The punishment that brought me peace was upon you and by your stripes I am healed.

Thank you for forgiving me and healing me. I commit my life again to you.

Holy Spirit fall afresh on me this day.

I renounce my old self. I renounce every work of the devil, and confess I am born again.

I ask you to give me eternal life.

I will walk in victory on earth, and Heaven is my eternal home.

I will fear no more, because it is my Father’s Good Pleasure to give me the Kingdom.

In the name of the Father , in the name of the Son, in the name of the Holy Spirit I pray.
